Extra, Extra! Read some fresh bullshit!

Up until a few years ago I was a keen and avid reader of Britain's newspapers, especially the "red tops" but not so much the broadsheets, after all they've got far too many big words and not enough pretty pictures for my little brain to comprehend.

Lately I have decided to boycott all newspapers simply because I am sick and tired of reading and believing things that turn out to be too politically left or right wing, and ultimately false.

           Buy no lies!

Papers like that fascist rag, The Daily Mail, whose readers are mainly white middle-class cretins who seem hell bent on destroying the relationship between the 'lower' and upper rungs of the class ladder. This hate-paper publishes outrageous stories that are loosely based upon even looser 'facts', such as the recent bunch of lies splattered onto paper about Isobel Jones-Reilly, the 15 year old school girl who tragically died after attending a party, where they attempted, at first, to blame the UK teacher strike for her death! Later on, in this article ( http://istyosty.com link), they claim that "ecstasy death girl, 15, idolised drug taking musicians and was hooked on the internet". Already, by reading those words you can tell that this shabby attempt of fiction is going to be an uncaring, un-thoughtful and generally demoralising piece of tosh. At no time during the article does it seem that any sympathy is given to the poor girls parents, or the situation in general, that would be too good for the DM, instead a good old fashion public body dragging is more their style. Well what more could you expect from a paper that once supported the Nazi's, eh?

Nice little banner image, based, I assume, upon Richard Dawkin's "No God" campaign.

The daily mail, in 1934 ran with the sickening headline of Hurrah for the Black Shirts. This headline was tied into a story about "Sir" Oswald Mosley's British Union of Fascists which read that the BUF were "a well organised party of the right ready to take over responsibility for national affairs with the same directness of purpose and energy of method as Hitler and Mussolini have displayed..". This story only solidifies the DM's unrelenting support for the Nazi regime, and if you needed any more proof, in 1933 the DM's proprietor wrote "I urge all British young men and women to study closely the progress of the Nazi regime in Germany. They must not be misled by the misrepresentations of its opponents. The most spiteful distracters of the Nazis are to be found in precisely the same sections of the British public and press as are most vehement in their praises of the Soviet regime in Russia. They have started a clamorous campaign of denunciation against what they call "Nazi atrocities" which, as anyone who visits Germany quickly discovers for himself, consists merely of a few isolated acts of violence such as are inevitable among a nation half as big again as ours, but which have been generalized, multiplied and exaggerated to give the impression that Nazi rule is a bloodthirsty tyranny.". Fair enough, this article may have been written in the 30's, and although the topic may have changed I still strongly doubt that their beliefs have shifted much. Nonetheless it is truly, truly outrageous.

This brings me neatly onto another escapade by British newspapers which has reared it's head in the last couple of days, much to the public surprise, I bet! That is the issue regarding "Phone hacking", mainly by The News Of The World, but I'm not entirely convinced, and neither should you be, that they are alone in this scandalous and not to mention illegal activity.

The News Of The World has been accused of tapping phonelines in order to gain the upper hand in nationwide incidences such as, the disappearance of Milly Dowler, and the July 7th London bombings. In these circumstances, The NOTW is accused of hiring private investigators to hack into the voicemails left on the victims phones, and in some cases actually deleting them to make room for more! It makes you wonder, that if these people are capable of delving into telephones and obtaining very crucial and relative information, then why are they not using these tactics for more worthwhile causes? Instead of poking their grubby little noses into Milly Dowler's families personal heartfelt messages left on the phone of their beloved little girl, why are they not hacking into phones of known crims, paedos, and suspected terrorists and ultimately helping to prevent any further tragedies? It is an absolute outrage to think that even things that you previously thought were private, are no longer so. I think that Rebekah Brooks and others should be very fearful about their jobs at this moment in time. (And not just for spelling your name Rebekah instead of Rebecca!)

NOTW and Milly Dowler.

This is not just a rant aimed at The NOTW and The DM, it's a finger pointed firmly at all newspapers, The Sun, Star, Sport, Telegraph, Guardian etcetra.

People still read these papers, and believe exactly what is written in front of them, it's the same as anyone reading any of my posts and taking all that I say to be fact over opinion. Newspapers are full of biased bullshit, and anything read should be taken very, very lightly, or better still- use them to wipe your arse with!

pwoar, it sure does!

I'm not entirely sure if i've made any sense here, but I reckon you'll get my point. Please feel free to share your opinions below!

Behave! Getting journos to check known criminals voicemails? Which ones, the ones who have served their time in prison and are trying to make a fresh start maybe? The ones these same journos reported had not only been shot by the police for being terror suspects but then they reported they were also arrested for possession of child porn, neither were the case. They were just Asians....with beards yet one was shot and accused of being all noncey.

We each (even crims and unfortunately journos) have the right to certain things like privacy and believe it or not these things are fundamental human rights.

Just like when a paediatrician was accused of "being a nonce" because the readers were too stupid to understand the difference between a man who interferes with children and a man whos job it is to save their lives. And what paper was it responsible for causing a Doctor who devoted his whole life to fixing children not fiddling with them? Rebekah Wades News Of The World.

Then there are further questions about what level of criminal can we phone hack? Can we do a shoplifter or low level heroin addict committing petty crime to feed his habit? Would a drink driver or speeder be O.K. to hack? Maybe a football hooligan, nobody likes them do they? Except the polices idea of a football hooligan is rather different to the rest of the worlds. Obviously a terrorist like Gerry Conlon found guilty and given a life sentance for bombing a pub in Guildford in 1975 and low and behold were released in 1989 and their convictions reversed. 14 years is a long time for an innocent man to spend in prison, there will no doubt be people who believe they were guilty and therefore criminals. Is it acceptable to hack their phones? Granted that particular case is a long time ago and in many ways our countries "Guantanamo Bay" but I still think the point is valid.

I agree with your bits usually mate but fuck me lets try and stop the practise of "phone hacking" not encourage it for those who we suspect might be criminals.
